It was December of 2024 after a week of being down and out for the count (thanks winter sickness!) and we had lingering coughs so we decided to watch church online. That Sunday just so happened to be “Missions Week” at our church, Lifegate, and the service started with couples talking about their missions experience around the world. My heart jumped! I love hearing stories of people who’ve embraced the call to be God’s hands and feet around the world. As Nirup preached that week, he asked a very poignant question for us all to consider while he spoke: “Is He (Jesus) worthy of your “yes”?” In which he spoke for about an hour and as Joshua and I watched our eyes filled with tears due to the season we were in. We most definitely knew Jesus WAS and IS worthy of our everything, and absolutely worthy of our “YES”!
In Joshua’s words:
“God has been stirring our hearts for several months now. We have both felt that a significant change was coming deep in our spirits. We have received several “random” prophetic words confirming it. We knew from our first coffee date that God had our hearts in a very similar place with a desire to serve our Lord Jesus Christ in what the world would consider a reckless fashion. All our true friends who are believers knew that God was forming a union between two souls and hearts that were joined together for one purpose, and that is to build the kingdom of heaven. The more we got to know each other the more we realized we were both called to each other, and we’re both sanctified and set apart for service of the Lord.
We made a decision today!
Thanks to our Pastor, Nirup, for delivering the non watered down version of truth today. I respect your bold stance and unwavering, uncompromising delivery of the truth in an age where everything is politically correct and soft. It was used by God to change me and Wendy’s life and direction.

Our time here is short. It feels like the coming of the Lord is very near, and even if it’s not this life is so fleeting. The older I get the more I realize the wisdom David penned when he ask God to “help him number his days” and when Paul penned “our life is a vapor”. I believe there is a huge revival coming. One that I’ve waited for my entire life. The 3rd and final Great Awakening, the final harvest of souls. The sons of God will be manifested to the Earth and walk in a power and anointing that we have only had glimpses of in the first and second great awakening…. And we don’t want to miss it!! We pray all true believers will wake up from our sleep, the “spell” the spirit of this world has created to distract us from what is most important.
Nirup asked us to think about the question: “Is He worth it?” We answered with a definite YES!”
9 months later and we’re on an adventure, but you might still be thinking: “WHAT did that “yes” point us to?!?”
Well, we knew we had given Jesus our “YES”, but we didn’t even know where to begin. We spent time with missionary friends. We sought counsel from our pastor and closely trusted friends. We prayed a LOT. And then we prayed some more.
God led us to meet with this amazing missions’ organization, Servants of Christ International (SOCI) and a good family friend who was enthusiastic about our future hopes of stepping into missions. *SOCI enables believers, donors, short- term or part-time missionary-type workers to fulfill their calling confidently by providing financial administration services for volunteers and faith-supported missionaries with the credibility of a 501(c)3. In other words, SOCI helps support missionaries around the world so they can focus their CALLING to bring the GOSPEL to the ends of the earth! Many of their missionaries are serving planting churches, reaching unreached people groups, starting and sustaining orphanages, churches around the world, in the 10/40 window, even some of the most dangerous places of the world! This was exciting to us. It stirred a passion as we listened to story after story of missionaries changing the world through their willingness to go serve by being the hands and feet of Jesus. Meeting with Jim Walters, the founder of Servants of Christ international, was pivotal in pointing us towards our next steps… BECOMING MISSIONARIES!
You may be asking “WHAT IS NEXT?” While we believe we will eventually be called to go serve orphanages in Zimbabwe, and perhaps other locations in Europe already doing street evangelism and local marriage retreats and more. We KNEW we wanted and needed a season of rest for healing after such a long year but also to gain focus and clarity on what would be our next steps. BECOMING MISSIONARIES!
While seeking God’s direction for our “YES” and where that would be GOD HIGHLIGHTED YWAM IN A NUMBER of WAYS!

God graciously has provided and directed every step of the last couple of months, making the step towards missions with ease.
Not a day goes by without Jesus doing something to confirm that he is blessing this decision! He will do SOMETHING so specific to smile at us, wink at us, or let us know he is with us and in this, which has left very little room for fear or doubt.
Even more recently we’ve had conversations with others that talk about the sacrifice it is to do missions work and how hard it is to leave a life of comfort; and we can understand that point of view to a certain extent, but we also believe it’s the highest privilege and calling to give JESUS our “YES” and at least go serve! We cannot think it’s a sacrifice when we know how much Jesus sacrificed for US, why wouldn’t we go!??! And so we couldn’t think of a better way to share in the commission to bring the gospel to the ends of the earth than to invite you INTO our story and journey by partnering with us!
So many times in life I think people think they can’t go to share the Gospel, so they aren’t going to make a difference and yet I recall so many ministries I’ve had the opportunity of learning about and falling in love with simply through my support of their work that I couldn’t go so I wanted to have an impact and also bear fruit from the work of the missions! While we have NO Idea what people group, area, or who we will be called to go serve after our 3 months of training, we would like to invite you even further into our journey and alongside of us in this adventure. We want to invite you to PRAY with us and for us, even to support us and the people we are going to serve. Who knows! MAYBE God will call us to someone and a people group that you have always wanted to impact! Just imagine getting to impact the lives of others across the world simply through your prayers and giving today!

Below we have listed what we are hoping to raise for support for our 6 months of missions with YWAM! We already have 33% covered thanks to a generous gift from our home church in Denver; LIFEGATE, and we are trusting the Lord to bring in the rest! We know some of you may not be able to give more than $25 or 50! We also know some of you have the capacity to fund the rest of our need, so would you please pray about your support and help us raise the remainder of what is needed for this opportunity? As Joshua has closed his business, we are 100% focusing our efforts and minds towards ministry in hopes to really walk into full time missions and ministry. While we don’t know what March or afterwards looks like for us in 2026, but for now we do know this IS our next step and we would be SO EXCITED to share in the journey WITH you too!

- $13,000 outreach
- $547 flights there
- $1021/month health insurance + car insurance & phone for 2 of us (or $5105 total)
- $3600 car transport (port to port)
YWAM includes Housing, Food, Training AND the Mission Outreach for the next 6 months! The rest (insurance and car transport) would be a blessing and bonus!! Totaling $30,242 to fund through February 2026. If we have 101 people give $200 OR 101 people commit to $50/month we’d be overwhelmed!! On top of LIFEGATEs GIFT of $10,000(33%) they have already committed to, we are looking to raise $19,242 more.
