Initially, I will work with Mean Street Ministries, discipling individuals and families who have been homeless – helping them to develop the life skills necessary to become all that God has called them to be in every area of their lives.
In addition, I will continue to disciple 4-5 men who are struggling with a variety of difficult life situations. For the coming year I will also be working half-time as Pastor of Congregational Care at Arvada Covenant Church.
My Story:
I committed my life to Christ at the age of 20. Until that time I had known much about Jesus but did not have a personal relationship with Him. Through a variety of painful experiences, I recognized my need for a Savior. I confessed my sin and received the Lord’s forgiveness and began a new life with Him through the power of the Holy Spirit.
It became clear from the very beginning of my journey as a follower of Jesus that He was calling me to be a part of His mission to reconcile men and women to Himself. His call to missions became stronger throughout college and seminary and we have served Him in a variety of ways thorough urban ministries (Chicago/Minneapolis/Denver) and as coordinators for the Mennonite Central Committee in their work with Naskapi and Inuit peoples in Newfoundland/Labrador, Canada.
It has been our prayer throughout life that our hearts would be broken by the things that break the heart of God.
