Amy’s Story
I grew up in a mission-minded, outreach-oriented church. Throughout my childhood and teenage years, I was an active participant in community service projects and ministry. At age 20, I experienced my first international short term mission trip to Belize, Central America. I became a staff member of that same organization and over the next three years, I led short term mission trips throughout Belize and Jamaica. Afterwards, the Lord called me as a missionary to the “World Race” -11 countries around the world in 11 months. That experience progressed to a greater ministry calling as a nurse. I knew my life purpose was in service and compassion for others.
Now, I am a multistate licensed Registered Nurse. I live in Anniston, Alabama with my husband, Justin, and three children, Adaline, Luke, and Colton. Ministry and outreach continue to be my passion and calling. I serve as the Ministry Advocate Partner (MAP) at Just 1 Global Missions. (www.just1global.org)
Just 1 Global Missions
At Just 1 Global Missions, we are passionate and purposed to be intentionally relational with a person, a church, a school, a pastor, or a community. Our approach is to connect like-minded people and organizations to support and encourage ongoing ministries throughout the world, just 1 person at a time. We believe that deep down every human has a desire to be a part of something bigger than themselves and that this desire ultimately comes from God. We were created unique and for a purpose. (Psalm 57:2 & Proverbs 16:4)
We are currently serving in Belize, Peru, Cuba, and Costa Rica. Some of our main causes include Coffee Farm, Camps and Small Business Development, Food Distribution, House Visits, Service Projects, and Encouragement. A few of our highlight ministries are medical ministry, prayer ministry, worship ministry, children’s ministry, sports ministry, and orphanage ministry.
As the Ministry Advocate Partner, I am honored to help connect others to find their place to serve and build deep relationships for God’s ongoing ministry. In this role, my ministry is to assist with operations in sending individuals, teams, churches, and organizations out into the mission field around the globe. With the experience as a Registered Nurse, I am also able to coordinate, support, and lead medical mission trips. I help organize trip logistics and set teams up for success for a life changing mission experience that creates ongoing, long-term advocacy and partnerships. I am passionate about stewarding discipleship through coaching, mentoring, educating, and training. I love being able to spend quality time with others, listen to their story, learn about their needs and dreams, and love them where they authentically are. My hope is to build relationships, encourage growth, and tend to the hearts of others- both physically and spiritually. Relationships are at the heart of ministry. Our mission is fulfilled by great partnerships. By networking with each other, we can bring our best strengths forward for God’s Glory and Kingdom.
