Hello! We have been in pastoral/church ministry for over 30 years and have recently stepped down from that ministry to care for global workers. While we loved pastoral ministry, God began turning our focus in the fall of 2022. At that time, we were able to take a prayer exploration trip to the Middle East. We were able to meet people that were doing hard work in hard places. Not only were our hearts drawn to those people, our eyes were opened to the work of God around the world. From there, we were able to connect with several other people in the missions “space”, take other trips, and intentionally learn about God’s heart for the nations. There came a point that we knew we couldn’t “unknow” what we now knew. We were compelled to use our experience and giftings to serve a more specific role in the Great Commission. We truly desired for all people groups to hear the Gospel and therefore, make way for the return of Christ. (Matthew 24:17)
Launching Benedictio
God has led us to start Benedictio, a ministry that serves teams by joining them on the field. We believe that God wants his people to not just DO things for Him, but to live whole-hearted, healthy lives as they complete the assignment He gives them. We carry out the vision God has given us by joining a team on the field for a month. We spend that time listening, identifying areas that need shepherding, and then doing that shepherding. We are finding that global workers need coaching, debriefing, processing of grief and celebration, conflict resolution, healing prayer, and more. After our month on the field, we return home and stay in contact via video calls with the individuals on the team and the team as a whole for the next year. At that point, we return to the team for a week of celebration and discussing next steps.
