The Catalyst Project
In college, Sue sensed the Lord’s call in her life to serve overseas but she was not sure where. Direction came when Sue met her future husband, Mark, and he was headed into medical missions in Africa! Mark has trained over 120 nurses to be anesthesia care providers in East Africa. They have also been partnering with the Maasai community of Namuncha for 18 years in development and educational projects.
The Catalyst for Communities Project is designed to support initiatives in promoting healthy communities primarily through the ongoing ministries of AIC Kijabe Hospital, AIC Namuncha, and medical and educational programs within East Africa. These include:
• Community development
• Educational support
• Medical support
• Assistance for at risk children
Catalyst is currently sponsoring seven children through secondary school, one nursing school student who will return to the Namuncha community upon graduation, and plans to improve access to medical care through assistance with expenses and functioning dispensary.
