I started working with Share Education Services the summer of 2024 as an associate staff member. The Share staff include educational professionals such as teachers, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, educational therapists, and educational psychologists. Share provides educational services in Central Asia, Middle East, and Europe by offering training, testing, and consultations to Christian worker families. Families depend on these services as they navigate the educational needs of their children in parts of the world where resources are limited. My family and I have lived abroad in each of these geographical areas and have seen first hand how challenging raising a family can be outside of one’s home country, especially when there are children with learning challenges. I have lived my adult life somewhat as a nomad, between life abroad and life in the US. Through my husband’s work, God has given us the opportunity to live with Christians around the world. What a tremendous blessing! We have three children who have attended various schooling systems, including homeschooling. Two of our children have specific learning disabilities, which has taken my work as an educator in a different direction. I started as a third grade teacher in Maryland. Now I am currently working as an educational therapist with the National Institute of Learning Development. While living in the Middle East, God grew my desire to support kingdom work in hard to reach places as well as support workers in the field educationally. After returning to the US and discovering Share, it seemed like the perfect fit! Once again, we are living abroad in the UK. God continues to direct our steps as a family and provide all that we need. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to work with Share and stay connected with kingdom work wherever God sends us.
