Miller, Joshua and Wendy – Reflection Ministry

Our Story

It was December of 2024 after a week of being down and out for the count (thanks winter sickness!) and we had lingering coughs so we decided to watch church online. That Sunday just so happened to be “Missions Week” at our church, Lifegate, and the service started with couples talking about their missions experience around the world. My heart jumped! I love hearing stories of people who’ve embraced the call to be God’s hands and feet around the world. As Nirup preached that week, he asked a very poignant question for us all to consider while he spoke: “Is He (Jesus) worthy of your “yes”?” In which he spoke for about an hour and as Joshua and I watched our eyes filled with tears due to the season we were in. We most definitely knew Jesus WAS and IS worthy of our everything, and absolutely worthy of our “YES”!

. . .We GAVE OUR “YES” and jumped into full time missions in Fall of 2025 with YWAM and now we have completed their Discipleship Training School and served  two months in the Philippines.  It was incredible AND challenging in 1000 ways.

We saw God do wondrous things and darkness defeated daily, despite the enemy’s attacks against our health.  Amidst being sick we saw God use us at our weakest! These were the times we could see God show up, healing people and encouraging them through prayer with raspy voices and fever!

We saw Jesus draw close to the brokenhearted and bring freedom to so many captives! God ushered in joy to those in mourning, and more laughter to those already suffering.  Our hearts melted with each new interaction & embrace. Being challenged in ways we didn’t know possible, we also were renewed in ways we didn’t expect!! And although exhausted, we are grateful for our time not only in the Philippines but our YWAM time from fall through the spring!

We are forever changed & so unbelievably grateful for the Lord’s work not only in us, but through us too! We know we could NOT have made it through the last couple of months without many of your prayers, love and support! Thank you for believing in us!! What an honor to take Jesus to the world!!!!

YOU are part of our fruit and we celebrate ALL GOD DID

SO WHAT NOW?

We told you at the beginning of March we were entering a time of REST to seek God for WHAT AND WHERE is next! As we are prayerfully considering so many things, including where to call “home base”, we have opportunities to consider South Africa in September, another Philippines mission towards an orphanage that has rescued kids from horrific trafficking situations, and we are still praying about some stops in Europe and places to go serve with missionary friends that we have both stateside AND abroad. There are really SO MANY DIRECTIONS we could take but we want to know the BEST and RIGHT direction. We asked if you would pray with us that God will breathe plans, direction and wisdom into our next steps, so here is where will breathe plans, direction and wisdom into our next steps, so here is where will breathe plans, direction and wisdom into our next steps, so here is where things stand today.

We wanted to share something honest and challenging about this season.

Sometimes the idea of missions is really exciting.
Sometimes its also really hard
Sometimes we miss eating out, having our own home… our income.

There are days where we feel discouraged. Days where the fruit isn’t obvious and we wonder if what we did or where we’re headed is really making a difference.

Much of what we’ve been called to in ministry as of late is hidden and we don’t want to be flashy or have a camera every time we share God’s love with someone at the store or a cab driver. We spend hours in prayer, worship, and contending for what God wants to do. Some days feel powerful and like God is on the move! Other days simply feel like obedience in the wait.

We’re discovering that faithfulness matters MORE than some big cause especially as we tend to our hearts. As we wait on our next assignment we know that this waiting has been a call to be still and trust that our waiting IS spiritual warfare when everything in our flesh says “I want to fix this. I feel discomfort. I’ll figure out a way” but we believe God is asking us to be still, stand firm, and trust even in the hard unknowns of health and finances.

We recently read that “Waiting is not the absence of action, it is the refusal to take the wrong action” and we couldn’t agree more. So even on the discouraging days, we keep showing up. We keep praying. We keep worshiping. And we trust that God is moving in ways we can’t always see.

MONTHLY NEEDS:

We are still looking for ongoing monthly supporters and while we have $1500 of our needs met this month through various monthly donors and one-time gifts, we’re believing for another $2500.

Thank you for praying for us and standing with us.
Your support truly makes it possible for us to be in ministry to spread the love of Jesus to the world!
