Silva, Jordan and Jenny – The Church at Newborn Brew

Our Story

Newborn Brew is community center and coffeeshop in Pristina, Kosovo— and home to a young church, Kisha në Newborn (Church at Newborn). It’s a church living in its community, led by Jordan and Jenny Silva and a faithful team of American and Kosovar missionaries.

What is Newborn Brew?

Newborn Brew was opened in August 2021, with the vision to provide a welcoming space to the students of Pristina, and share in words and actions the good news of Jesus. It has grown a reputation in our city for being a place where everyone is welcomed and for a place where anyone can learn about Jesus.

Students tell us Newborn is like their second home, and they know without doubt they are loved.

Church at Newborn meets downstairs on Wednesday evenings, while the coffee shop remains open upstairs. We share a meal together, worship, preach the word, and gather and pray together. The openness and hospitality of this environment makes it easy for anyone who is curious about Jesus to observe and join. Teaching verse-by-verse in public allows us to tackle the whole spectrum of scripture and the issues of life, allowing the Spirit to convict and teach. Church in this context allows our community to watch the life of the church transparently—caring for each other, confessing sin, worshipping with joy, and meeting needs.

Meet the Silvas

Jordan and Jenny Silva have served in Pristina, Kosovo since 2019. Their sustaining joy in missions comes in daily uniting with God’s work. Their sons Nyle, Cassian and Lev have grown up in Kosovo, and love to spend time with the Newborn community.
